Every class begins with 5 minutes of centering and ends with conscious relaxation. All levels welcome.

Funky Yoga

Funky Yoga

MONDAYS · 9:00 AM

A hatha-inspired style that increases all aspects of fitness — flexibility, strength, stamina, speed, and balance — through asymmetrical yoga poses where one side of the body does something different from the other. This can feel a little “funky,” hence the name. It is suitable for any level, though it is the most physically and energetically demanding class offered. Modifications are always available, and options to go deeper are offered for those who want more challenge.

Structure: Centering → Mobility → Breathwork (bandhas) → Vinyasa warm-up (×2) → Main poses → Savasana

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga

TUESDAYS · 9:00 AM (Belize/Mountain) — also in person at Black Orchid Wellness, Santa Elena

A hatha-inspired class designed to improve your mobility (the range of motion in your joints) and active flexibility (the range of motion in your muscles while they are engaged). Poses are held for 30 seconds to one minute, making this a slower-paced and more accessible class that still builds real progress over time. A wonderful choice if you are newer to yoga or prefer a gentler approach. The 9:00 AM Tuesday session is also offered in person at Black Orchid Wellness in Santa Elena.

Structure: Centering → Alternate nostril breathing → Mobility work → Vinyasa warm-up → Hatha poses (30 sec–1 min) → Conscious relaxation

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga

WEDNESDAYS · 9:00 AM

A slow, cooling style of yoga designed to improve the passive flexibility of your connective tissues — tendons, ligaments, and fascia — which are responsible for the majority of your body’s flexibility. Poses are held for at least 3 minutes each, mostly on the floor, with up to one minute of recovery between them. Yin is deeply meditative, and its effects are cumulative. A perfect midweek reset.

Structure: Centering → Long-held passive floor poses (3+ min each) → Recovery between poses → Conscious relaxation

Chair Yoga

THURSDAYS · 9:00 AM (Belize/Mountain) — also in person at Black Orchid Wellness, Santa Elena

A hatha-inspired class that makes yoga accessible for those who may not be able to do a traditional floor-based practice due to injuries, medical conditions, surgeries, or other physical considerations. You’ll need a yoga mat and a sturdy chair — a dining chair or a folding chair both work well. Chair Yoga is open to everyone, including more experienced and advanced practitioners — class sequences are built around who shows up, and options to go deeper are always offered. The 9:00 AM Thursday session is also offered in person at Black Orchid Wellness in Santa Elena.

Structure: Centering → Optional breathwork → Mobility work → Chair-modified hatha poses → Conscious relaxation

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga

FRIDAYS · 9:00 AM

A deeply nourishing style of yoga that restores the body and mind by using props — blankets, pillows, bolsters, yoga straps, and eye pillows — to fully support the body so that no muscular effort is required. Each pose is held for up to 5 minutes, all on the floor. The goal is to be so relaxed that you could fall asleep in the pose. This class supports recovery from physical and mental stress and strengthens the immune system. Don’t have yoga props? Pillows, blankets, and a belt or towel work beautifully as substitutes.

Structure: Centering (5 min) → Supported floor poses (50 min, up to 5 min each) → Conscious relaxation (5 min)
